What is this Switch you want to Flip?
We, the Lebanese people, have paid millions of dollars for a fibre optics cable called IMEWE that will let you and me have an Internet speed tens of times faster than the speed we have now. However, the government is not yet allowing us to use this cable because of silly personal/political disputes between politicians. We want to pressure the people responsibles to "Flip the Switch" and turn ON the IMEWE cable, a cable that we the Lebanese people own and have already paid for, a cable that will finally let you watch YouTube without waiting for the video to load!
How can I make the Internet in Lebanon faster?
Give as little as 2 minutes of your time and be a part of our effort to greatly improve Internet in Lebanon. You can help make a difference and have fun too! Take a look at the various campaign projects that are done by the Flip the Switch teams and sign up to the ones you like. Bring your talents along. You will help us spread awareness about why Internet is so slow in Lebanon and how we can fix it. If you've thought of a project idea for raising awareness you are welcome to sign up and create a team to help develop it.
Who are we?
We are a bunch of experts, enthusiasts, and students who got together to do something about the Internet situation in Lebanon. We noticed, as many of us have, that Lebanon now has the slowest Internet in the world, and we also noticed, that Lebanon's Internet can improve a lot with a simple flip of a switch, the IMEWE switch. You can help us make the Internet better by getting involved. Participate in our fun working groups and/or join our Facebook Group.
